Lee Jin-ho, who caused damage to fellow celebrities through "illegal gambling," was reported to the police on charges of fraud under certain economic laws.

An online community posted today (16th) claiming that "Lee Jin-ho was asked to investigate the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul for fraud under a specific economic law."

The author A said, "I asked the Gangnam Police Station in Seoul to investigate Lee Jin-ho on charges of habitual gambling and fraud," adding, "After reviewing the law again, I talked to the investigator in charge of the investigation department at Gangnam Police Station in Seoul and asked him to change the name of the crime from "fraud" under the criminal law to "fraud" under the specific economic crime law, and filed an additional complaint on the 16th."

The 「Act on Aggravated Punishment of Specific Economic Crimes」, which Mr. A believes was violated by Lee Jin-ho, is applied when the value of property or property gains for the criminal act is more than 500 million won. If the charges are admitted, they will be sentenced to three years or more in prison if the gain is more than 500 million won and less than 5 billion won, and five years or more in prison if the gain is more than 5 billion won.

"As comedian Lee Jin-ho is known to have borrowed more than 2 billion won from acquaintances around him, it is believed that he could be charged with fraud under the Specific Economic Crimes Act," A said. "If it is true that he deceived the victim to defraud him of the money, the amount of defraudation is all that he borrowed from the victim, and even if he paid part of the damage, the amount of defraudation is all that he borrowed from the victim, which is the same even if he is in violation of the specific economic crime law due to fraud."

Earlier, Lee Jin-ho said on his SNS on the 14th, "I started playing games on illegal gambling sites on the Internet as an accidental opportunity in 2020, and I got a debt that I couldn't afford." "We will repay the remaining debts no matter what," he said. "We will also sincerely be investigated by the police and pay for my fault."

However, controversy grew after BTS Jimin, Lee Soo-geun, and Ha Sung-woon reportedly lent Lee Jin-ho money and did not get it back. On top of that, there is even a claim that there is another fellow celebrity who suffered 500 million won in damage, causing a stir. Lee Jin-ho is known to have borrowed more than 2 billion won and 1.3 billion won in bond debt.
