SAY MY NAME, the first girl group produced by singer Kim Jae-joong, has been unveiled. Among them, attention was paid to Hitomi Honda, a former member of the group Iz*One.

Say My Name's debut showcase was held today (15th) afternoon at SBS Public Hall in Deungchon-dong, Gangseo-gu, Seoul.

Before the full-fledged start of the day, Kim Jae-joong stood on stage as a producer of Say My Name. Kim Jae-joong, who appeared in a suit, could not hide his tension. He said, "It's a mini album with a lot of heart and soul. It's an album made with hard work, so I'd appreciate it if you listen to it a lot and enjoy it," he said.

Say My Name is a multinational group consisting of seven members, Japanese member Hitomi Honda and May, Thai member KANNY, and Korean members Dohee, May, Junhui, Soha, and Seungju. The team name means "Call my name!" Still, the unique identity of my own name contains the meaning of the importance of "myself, ourselves" that many people have forgotten about in the sadness and pain they experience at least once in their lives.

Their debut album "Say My Name" contains a message that members with different charms gather together to create harmony with various genres of songs in one album, just as waves flood and form the sea in one place.

The title song "WaveWay" compares each person's wounds and sorrows that can be experienced at least once in a boring and harsh life to waves. Soha introduced, "It is a song about the process of small waves that have been generated in one place to become big waves and the process of growing in the future."

The album contains a total of four songs, including the title song, "I Become the Brightest Star in the Night Sky Today," "Followme (8lowme)," and "Goldilocks Water."

Above all, Say My Name received attention early on as the first girl group produced by Kim Jae-joong and the third debut group of Honda Hitomi.

Hitomi Honda will debut as a new group in three years, following Japanese idol group AKB48 Team A and project group Iz*One. Hitomi Honda said, "It's a big challenge for me. I want to achieve my dream without giving up because I think it's an opportunity to expand my potential," he said.

Hitomi Honda, who was active in Japan after IZ*ONE's activities, explained the reason why she chose to do Korean activities again, saying, "I wanted to do Korean activities again because I learned a lot of good memories and lessons as IZ*ONE." He added, "I came back to Korea with the desire to take on a new challenge in my 10th year of debut, so I don't regret it and do everything I want to do."

In addition, regarding the reason for choosing the agency founded by Kim Jae-joong, he said, "I talked with producer Kim Jae-joong, and he suggested that we grow together with the company. The words you said at that time touched my heart," he said. In particular, he expressed his affection, saying, "I have come to respect him as a human being."

Finally, the members threw their brash bids. Do-hee shouted, "I'll swallow the whole world," and Seung-joo said, "I want to hear our song play in convenience stores or cafes. We want to deliver happy, hopeful, and courageous energy with our voice and dance," he said.

Say My Name's debut album will be released at 6 p.m. on various music sites.
